Center for TVET Practitioners Development (CTPD)
The CTPD will aim to address the shortage of skilled trainers in the TVET system. It will provide training programs to improve the teaching methods, technical skills, and leadership abilities of TVET trainers. Additionally, the center will offer services in designing and developing curricula, as well as producing educational resources and materials. A dedicated facility for curriculum and content development will be established within the center.
In its first year of operations, the center will concentrate on enhancing the pedagogical and technical skills of ITI trainers, with the assistance of ITE. Drawing from this initial experience, CTPD will formulate a comprehensive long-term business plan with inputs from ITIs and other TVET institutions. Looking ahead, the center aims to establish itself as a provider of structured upskilling and refresher training programs for TVET institutions, within and outside the state.
